1897, Nara prefecture, Totsukawa village. The young poet Masaki gets lost by himself in the mountains after escaping from having a nervous breakdown. He is saved from a venomous snake bite by an elderly priest and takes refuge at a temple in the mountains. In this strange time-space isolated from society, Masaki gets lost between reality and dreams, where he meets his destined woman. This love will not be achieved without risking his life, but it is a destined love that can be lost in a moment. Exuding elegance and eloquence, this holy tragedy with hints of classical prose is the long-awaited continuation of the author’s first work.
